This group will develop their early intervention peer mentoring project, which intensively supports vulnerable pregnant women and new mothers through pregnancy up until baby?s first birthday. The project will train at least 30 volunteers to support new mothers within their own homes. They will encourage the mother to identify her own needs and goals and the support is then built around this. The project will expand through further community work in order to reach more expectant mothers and new parents.
