West End Youth Club

Thursday 1 October 2015

Big Lottery Fund

The funding will be used to run a new youth club in the Bitterne Park ward. The project aims to tackle disadvantage and prevent anti-social behaviour in the local area by providing free activities for young people aged 11-16. Drop in sessions, one to one meetings and workshops will be provided to support young people to build skills for example in cookery, CV writing, IT and arts and crafts. Sessions with local partners will also be held on issues such as bullying, relationships, drugs and alcohol.

Some grants may be paid in stages, and later payments may be conditional on completing earlier funded work. In some cases, grants for capital projects may be reduced or increased if the underlying project costs change. The value shown here should not, therefore, be considered immutable.
