The group will use the funding to hold a series of community workshops focusing on hate crime. This will increase beneficiaries? knowledge of the effects of hate crime and enable them to feel secure in their community.

Following consultation with around 1,200 residents of Rowsley, Northwood and Tinkersley the village hall will be improved including new facilities over the next three years. Focus will be to provide residents of this isolated community with a suitable venue for all the community to integrate whilst improving their health and well-being. It will be refurbished and reconfigured to provide new activities including events for young families, limited mobility fitness classes, weekend events and coffee mornings.

The group will use the funding to carry out a community lead feasibility study concerning the facilities and future of their rurally located town. This will bring beneficiaries together allowing them to be involved in the planning of community services, amenities and tackling local issues.
