The project aims to establish an intervention support programme to tackle self-harm in children and young people. The programme will provide intensive therapy, while also offering parents support alongside their children's treatment, allowing for joint family based interventions where appropriate. Therapy will include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, similar to CBT, but designed to help people change patterns of behaviour like suicidal thoughts and substance misuse.

Fathers in prison and their families will be supported through this project by helping them improve their parenting and family relationship skills. The project will deliver monthly family homework clubs to enable fathers to support and encourage schoolwork and have a positive attitude to education, as well as provide advice, information and support to visiting families. The project will also prepare fathers for release and tackle interpersonal conflicts in families.

The group will use the funding to offer a series of events and day trips for older people. This will reduce their feelings of isolation and benefit their wellbeing.

This is an expansion of a three year pilot project that aims to support children and young people affected by sexual exploitation. This project will also address the issue by engaging families affected and delivering training for community professionals and youth professionals, teachers, parents/carers and children and young people to help tackle the issue from multiple angles.
