This project will use funding to create a forum and blog, run a video project, provide educational support classes and hold African study classes for local young people. This will help to bring the community together and give young people opportunities to embrace their own cultural identity and build their confidence and skills.

The organisation will use the funding to provide training to staff as well as purchase camping and expedition equipment suitable for use by young people taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme. This will enable the group to provide access to outdoor activities and experiences often unavailable to pupils at risk of disaffection, unemployment and deprivation, helping them to develop leadership skills, aspirations and improved confidence and self esteem.
