The group will expand its work offering free haircuts to homeless people by skilled hairdressers. The funding will be used to recruit more volunteers and keep them motivated so they can support around 10,000 homeless people a year. The haircuts will provide a therapeutic and enjoyable experience for people, as well as helping to boost their self-esteem.

This project will develop a 'men?s shed' project, where men can participate in practical activities such as woodworking, crafts and gardening. This will provide opportunities for men to come together, learn skills, build friendships and reduce social isolation.

This project will use the funding to train and equip a number of community volunteers to be part of Thames Search and Rescue service. This will equip volunteers with the skills and resources to respond to emergency situations, to provide support to local people affected by flooding, and ultimately to save lives.
