Tackling Inactivity in Woodhouse College

This project will set up a weekly self-help support group for people with body dysmorphic disorder. This will provide a regular support network for people, reduce isolation and improve their mental wellbeing.

The project will bring together activities which were once separate (children, adults, parents), removing the silo working. This project will provide access to a web-based support portal for pupils at risk of poor mental health. This will create a tool for pupils to build their confidence and resilience and improve their emotional wellbeing.

This will provide stimulating and engaging activities and give them a better chance in life.

MY BODY WELSH is a new piece of contemporary theatre that interrogates the relationship between nationhood, history and storytelling. It is an intimate one-man show that places the relationship with its audience at the heart of its delivered experience and, through humour and the innovative use of sound, examines the roles ownership and history play in creating boundaries between people.

The primary objective for Invertigo's R&D is to develop a new piece of work 'My Body Welsh' exploring communities and identity in Wales to achieve their ultimate goal: to share high quality and potent work across a range of Welsh communities. It also brings two emerging companies together (Invertigo Theatre Co. & The Conker Group) in collaboration to make a brave new show that neither could have created separately. 20th June - 31 August 2016.

The group will use the funding to develop a play space for the benefit of children. This will improve physical development and enhance cognitive skills through the provision of active, physical play during extracurricular sessions, break times and at after school clubs.

This project is a development of an existing service offering support to vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers living in the London boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Harrow, Camden and Islington. They will support those who are struggling to integrate into UK society due to pre and post migration experiences with the aim of supporting individuals to reduce issues around health and well being, improve the life chances and to help them integrate into the community and find employment.
