This group will develop a project that aims to support 4,000 people with disabilities and carers to become part of the community, and not separate or isolated from it, over a five year period. This project will run interconnected activities that are person centred to alleviate barriers. A new community hub will provide peer support, training and visits to banks, post offices and shopping centres to increase their knowledge of how they work. It will offer travel training to increase confidence to go out.

Establishing and developing artistic relationships and support in Israel

This project will provide multi-media training for young people who are not in education, employment or training and single parents. This will develop employability and life skills and improve community relationships.

This project will deliver a series of facilitated outreach focus groups and events, to evaluate the local regeneration that has taken place. This will increase community engagement and enable participation in community life.

The funding will be used by a charity to build their organisational capacity in order to become more effective. This will include upgrading inadequate hardware/software systems, extending local network coverage, and to deploying new network applications.

This project will run therapy sessions for vulnerable children at the school, including counselling and play therapy. This will help develop coping strategies and build self-confidence, resilience and stamina.

This organisation will use the funding to run essential life skills courses for members of the community wishing to improve their confidence, communication skills and assertiveness. This will provide people with support in improving their self-esteem and reaching their goals to improve employability and quality of life.

This project will provide extra-curricular fitness sessions, enabling pupils to engage in a positive activity during lunchtime and afterschool, with an aim of reducing current challenging behavioural traits.

This will use funding to run a holiday club for young people with dyslexia. The club sessions will focus on memory, organisation and essay writing skills. This will enable the young people to improve their learning skills and raise academic achievement.

This project will use funding to install a therapeutic bath for patients who are elderly, vulnerable or terminally ill. This will provide them with a facility that benefits their health and wellbeing.

This project will use the funding to build an apiary, extending the provision for their beekeeping group. This will provide education about food production and the environment, whilst bringing a wider range of people together.

Lookering to the Future

This project will run a series of self-empowerment, mentoring and employment events for women from immigrant communities. This will develop their skills and knowledge and help remove barriers to employment.

This project will extend security fencing around the allotment site, improve an access trackway and install a compostable toilet. This will ensure the safety and security of users and visitors to the site, including pupils living with special educational needs (SEN) who will utilise a new garden area at the site.

Jazz Connect

This project will use the funding to run creative social activity and family support groups for children with learning disabilities. This will provide an interactive environment to build social and communication skills, whilst providing parents and carers with a forum to interact and gain respite.

This project will create a new parent and toddler group to support the needs of people who are experiencing the effects of social disadvantage. This will equip those taking part with parenting skills and improve the development of young children.

The academy will buy play and climbing equipment and remove existing equipment which is no longer fit for purpose. The aim is to improve the social, emotional, physical and learning development of the school children.

This is a project by a charity in Bromley, serving beneficiaries across England. The group will redesign its website that supports the needs of vulnerable women. This will enable the organisation to improve its communications and outreach work for women who are in or who are at risk of being involved in the criminal justice system.

This project will use the funding to refurbish the kitchen in their community hall. This will address health and safety and security concerns posed by the current kitchen, improving the environment and providing a fit for purpose facility for community use.

The group will use the funding to deliver a series of support and learning activities for members of the Somali community who are experiencing the effects of poor physical health and barriers to accessing English language support. This will improve chances in life and improve levels of health.

The group will use the funding to hold a community social event. This will enable people from different age groups to socialise, encouraging community cohesion and reducing their feelings of isolation.

This project will expand its work with local residents at risk of homelessness through long term unemployment or mental health issues to improve their financial health by building their knowledge, skills and experience. It will include financial capability workshops and bespoke support sessions which will cover the transition into work or taking on the responsibility of a new property.

The group will use the funding to deliver a series of health self-management workshops for people with disabilities or long term illnesses. This will support beneficiaries with a range of complex needs and improve their mental wellbeing.

Dance and social activities for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities living in and around South East London will now expand. A new adult group will be formed to accommodate increasing numbers of members and young people who are aging out of the young person?s group, but still wish to participate. The sessions will enable adults with and without learning disabilities to come together in a fun and stimulating environment, providing an opportunity for integration.

The group will use the funding to create a community training hub that will support the needs of people with disabilities. This will enhance the way in which this organisation supports its beneficiaries through creating pathways to employment.

The group will use the funding to install a composting toilet facility for an allotment that lacks public conveniences. This will make the allotment more accessible and versatile for visitors and members.

The group will use the funding to purchase office equipment to build the organisations capacity. This will enable the organisation to provide more counselling services to their beneficiaries.

The group will use the funding to deliver mindfulness sessions by a qualified mindfulness therapist. This will improve the mental health of the cancer patients, decrease their anxiety levels and improve their sleeping pattern.

The group will use the funding to run support groups for bereaved children and families. This will lead to improved support for the local community and reduced isolation.

This project will deliver sports activities for young people aged seven-21 to reduce anti-social behaviour, offending and radicalisation across London. It will deliver weekly coaching sessions in athletics and fitness to engage young people who would otherwise face financial barriers or lack of opportunities. Alongside this will be life skills and accredited qualifications to enhance future prospects, and coaching and mentoring to improve confidence and distract young people from risky behaviours.

The group will use the funding to offer dance sessions for children and young people with learning disabilities. This will enable them to take part in activities where they can socialise and improve their health and wellbeing.

The group will use the funding to increase awareness of the importance of healthy eating for young parents in the local area, as well as teaching them how to cook and prepare healthy meals. This will lead to improved diets and healthier lifestyles for families in the local area.

The group will use the funding to deliver a series of creative workshops for socially isolated young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or autism. This will encourage inclusion and improved levels of engagement with the community.

The British Society for Mental Health and Deafness

Project Summary :The project will provide mental health awareness training to the deaf community in Wales. The training will offer deaf people, and those involved with the deaf community, skills to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems and respond appropriately by offering peer support.What Money is for :The grant, over three years, will pay for the salaries and associated costs of 6 part time workers. It will also pay for project delivery costs.

The group will use the funding to deliver a free music festival complimented with arts workshops for families and young people. This will promote community cohesion, help to reduce instances of anti social behaviour and provide volunteering opportunities.

Now You Can Go

This new project is to train a total of 96 volunteers to support 510 parents and 145 children enabling them to overcome issues caused by domestic abuse, poverty, family breakdown and mental health challenges. he project will recruit, manage and support volunteers to work with project staff to help parents of children aged 0-13 as well as children aged 5-13. Staff and volunteers will work with parents and children either in their own home or the local Welcare centre.

The group will use the funding to provide physical activities such as football, basketball and dancing to young people at risk of or experiencing anti social behaviour. This will provide positive activities in the community to enable young people to socialise in a safe environment.

The group will use the funding to build a new path at the allotment which will make it easier for the local community to access this facility. This will encourage people to spend more time outdoors in this improved community environment.

The group will use the funding to run an extracurriculur drop in sessions for young children to help them recover and progress from distress and negative behaviour. This will enable beneficiaries to deal with emotional and mental health issues and lead a healthier lifestyle.

The group will use the funding to provide extra-curricular workshops to children providing them with the opportunity to self reflect and explore working with others through different topics. This will help to build a more cohesive community.

The group will use the funding to provide pupils with a six week extra-curricular voluntary participative activity where they can explore their own valuable personal attributes. This will develop life skills and so promote their personal independence and interactions with others.

The group will use the funding to engage disadvantaged young people in positive activities using the medium of creating expressive music as a vehicle to exploring social issues and possible solutions to disengagement. This will engage beneficiaries in activities designed to reduce instances of anti-social behaviour and improve their citizenship skills.

This funding will allow the organisation to pilot a volunteer advocacy and support service across different locations in Scotland.

The group will use the funding to deliver an extra-curricular anti-bullying programme to children and young people within schools that have high levels of recorded bullying incidents. This will broaden young people?s experience and raise expectations.

The group will use the funding to deliver extracurricular individual and group counselling support sessions for pupils. This will engage beneficiaries in activities designed to improve their overall health and wellbeing.
