The project will hold a public exhibition of art and craft work to showcase the skills of local people with mental health issues or learning difficulties and help them gain confidence. The exhibition will bring together work made at local community support groups and will raise awareness of their services and help reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

The project will deliver arts activities programmes for people with mental health problems in Teesside, including dance, movement, drama, music, and creative writing. This will enable people to express themselves and tell their stories to help improve their emotional and mental wellbeing, and promote the understanding of mental health issues.

The project will purchase a pitch cover to protect their pitches and green spaces from becoming waterlogged. This will improve facilities for the wider community to help encourage healthier lifestyles, and enable the group to deliver new activities for young people at risk of anti-social behaviour.

The school will install outdoor fitness equipment to be used by children and the wider community. This will increase physical activity in the community and help address growing health problems.

The school will use the funding to deliver a physical activities and healthy lifestyle programme for their pupils during out of school hours.This will help encourage children and families to become more physically active and make healthy lifestyle choices.

The organisation will use the funding to deliver a programme of social activities focused on enabling people with visual impairments and disabilities to re-discover and access culture in and around their communities. This will involve beneficiaries in the design of activities, events and exhibitions to be accessible for people with visual impairments, to reduce their social isolation and enable them to be active in their communities.

The project aims to increase people?s wellbeing, improve their health, mental ability, sense of awareness, choices and achievements.

The organisation will use the funding to provide a weekly drop in service, and therapy assessment sessions for vulnerable people within the community. This will provide tailored support, interventions and sign posting to service providers for beneficiaries, to help them address the issues they are facing and improve their wellbeing.

The school will use the funding to deliver life skills sessions for children and parents, and additional physical activity sessions for children. This will enable beneficiaries to develop skills and understanding of real life situations, help parents to develop skills to support their children?s learning, and provide physical activities and healthy eating advice to reduce levels of obesity.

The school will use the funding to provide new creative outdoor and nature facilities for Foundation Stage 1 and 2 children and for use in family workshops. This will encourage outdoor play, exploring nature, and will aid the children?s development and aspirations.

Woodland diaries

The organisation will use the funding to recruit and train young volunteers and peer leaders, provide a summer programme of woodland, camping and adventure activities for young people, and work with young adults with learning difficulties to design information and routes within the Valley gardens. This will engage young people in positive activities to help maintain the valley and reduce incidents of vandalism and anti-social behaviour.

The group will use the funding to publicise walking activities and routes and develop their website. This will encourage the community, including family groups to become more physically active, and enjoy the benefits of walking to improve their physical and emotional health.

The school will use the funding to create an all year round outdoor learning area for early years children and their families. This will provide more support for parents and access to safe physical and learning activities.

The organisation will use the funding to deliver a variety of arts based activities at community venues, GP surgeries and charitable and educational organisations in the local area. This will provide volunteering opportunities to help deliver the sessions and therapeutic activities for people with mental health issues, to help reduce their social isolation and improve their wellbeing.

The organisation will use the funding to support 13 to 25 year olds with complex needs,exploring through story the cycle of change that is necessary for growth.A life coach will help beneficiaries create their own fictitious story using the Hero?s Journey pattern,with themselves as the hero, meeting and overcoming real dangers, to increase confidence and empowerment and address needs such as homelessness, unemployment, risk taking behaviour, relationships, emotional and behavioural issues and mental health.

The organisation will use the funding to create an outdoor music and performance area within the school grounds. This will provide extra-curricular and after school activities using the medium of music and performance to help develop the children?s social, emotional and physical development and cultural awareness.

The organisation will use the funding to purchase tablet computers that will be used during family learning activities outside of school time. This will enable the group to provide parents and families with IT skills training and support using accessible and easy to understand equipment, improving skills, employability and training opportunities using facilities at the school.

The organisation will use the funding to develop a nature garden area on the school grounds as an area to with stimulating play and healthy activities to use outside of school time and during holiday clubs. This will increase communication skills and self confidence with the aim of improving health and reducing sedentary play.

The organisation will use the funding to purchase new gardening equipment and safety clothing. This will enable the organisation to continue to deliver volunteering opportunities in gardening, the environment and wildlife, reduce isolation for residents and promote community cohesion.
