The funding will be used to continue delivering an after school club for young children and their families, providing new activities including adventure walks, reading outdoors, map reading, themed picnics, storytelling and exploring nature, culminating in the production of a DVD and community event. The project aims to provide volunteering opportunities for older people and encourage young children to develop their skills through storytelling, to help aid their confidence and development.

The funding will be used by a secondary school to provide Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) therapy sessions for pupils in years eight and nine. The project aims to develop people?s skills, encourage positive thinking, provide them with coping techniques and help improve their confidence, motivation, self-esteem and attainment levels.

Castell Alun High School in Flintshire will use the grant to run sports sessions, before school, during lunch time and after school to improve the health and wellbeing of their students. This grant for ?5,000 will fund heart rate monitors, 15 tablet computers with cases, three TVs, licence and two projectors.
