This is a project by a charity in Manchester serving people in High Peak, Derbyshire. The project will update the scout campsite toilet block to improve health and safety and ensure its continued use.

The funding will be used by a charity to level out the grassed area within a scout hut grounds. The project aims to provide the scout club and the wider community with a safe grassed area for playing and learning new skills as well as a space for community celebrations.

The project will set up a bicycle delivery service to make affordable groceries available to people who are disabled and housebound. Volunteers will receive bike ability and bike maintenance training. This will provide valuable work experience for volunteers and help reduce social isolation and connect people with additional support, while reducing food bills of people who are struggling financially.

The funding will be used to run horticultural activities in a local park for people recovering from alcohol misuse. The work will involve growing and cooking produce and engaging with the local community through produce displays. The project will also encourage people to work together to form friendships, share experiences, eat healthily and take part in educational courses to improve their knowledge and overall wellbeing.

The funding will be used to run workshops in coping mechanisms, mental wellbeing, healthy eating and intergenerational working to the local community. The project aims to reduce social isolation through interactive learning.

Rediscovering the Underbanks, StockportÔÇÖs Old Town

The funding will be used by a primary school to transform and replace a derelict timber area into a nautical themed play area with scramble pitch, ropes, splash feature and ship structure. The project aims to provide a local community play facility that will promote, enable and encourage physical activity, social interaction and role play amongst children before and after school.

This project will run a programme of creative arts therapy sessions supporting vulnerable mothers who are experiencing mental health problems. This will improve their wellbeing by developing support networks and strengthening how they bond with their children.

The funding will be used to run a Christmas 2017 party and two day trips to the seaside. The project aims to reduce social isolation and improve health and wellbeing by offering opportunities for social interaction amongst older members of the community.

The organisation will provide weekly dance classes and dance tuition to people with disabilities who are dependent on a wheelchair, alongside able-bodied participants. This will increase participants' mental and physical wellbeing.

This project will use the funding to provide a stimulating outdoor play area. This will encourage pupils to be more active which will improve their health and wellbeing.

The organisation will build the capacity and skills of volunteers and well as employing sessional workers to build links with the Dalit community in Manchester and the wider area. They will also carry out cultural awareness activities within the local area. This aim of this project is to improve community cohesion, raise awareness and challenge discrimination in the local community.

The organisation will install outdoor play equipment on the school grounds to be used outside of curriculum time. This projects aims to develop social, emotional and physical skills and reduce obesity by increasing opportunities for active play.

The school will use the funding to create a calming, learning, environmental awareness space. This will enable pupils with behavioural and complex special educational needs to access an alternative environment to the classroom.

This project will use the funding to recruit a sessional co-ordinator to develop volunteers and deliver the project which will include a range of activities for the local community including modules on IT, healthy eating and local history and photography. There will be practical study trips and documenting and producing a YouTube film to enable learning and sharing. This will provide positive activities aimed at reducing social isolation in the community.

The organisation will host a fun day to celebrate the improvements it?s made to the appearance and facilities in Romiley Park, to encourage more visitors to the park, and to thank those that have supported them in achieving their goal.

This project will use the funding to purchase access to an interactive on-line pupil support system. This will enable vulnerable pupils to access accurate information and support in relation to needs and vulnerabilities.

The organisation will use the funding to purchase horticultural equipment to enable the organisation to increase capacity. This will enable the organisation to increase work with vulnerable groups in the local community and support the training needs of volunteers.

The organisation will use the funding for the refurbishment of the resource centre shop which provides assistive equipment for people who have sight or hearing loss and is the only service of its kind in the Greater Manchester area. This will enable the organisation to expand upon their provision of face to face support for their beneficiaries and offer demonstration areas which will enable them to try out the new technology before purchasing helping to contribute towards their independence.

This is an expansion of existing work delivered by Pure Insight. The project will continue to support young people, aged 16-28 and living in Stockport, Manchester and Cheshire East, leaving the care system through positive mentoring. Beneficiaries will be matched with a mentor who will work with them and provide advice and support to help improve specific life skills.

The organisation will use the funding to hold a one day celebration of food, friendship and peer support to bring together members of their diverse community. This will provide an inclusive event that will bring a variety of members of the community together.

The organisation will use the funding to install and upgrade stand pipes to allow for the irrigating of crops, gardening machinery and access pathways to make the whole site wheel chair and limited mobility friendly. This will enable the organisation to retain the membership of its older disabled members and make the allotment easily accessible for wheelchair users and members with restricted mobility.

The organisation will use the funding to deliver a series of therapeutic counselling and resilience training to young people in four schools who are at risk of self harm, mental health and identity crises through group discussions and workshops. This will improve their health and wellbeing by increasing their resilience and self belief, and equip them with techniques to deal with their negative thought patterns.

The organisation will use the funding to recruit and train 7-10 volunteers to offer one to one mentoring to a group of 7-10 looked after children (LAC) and mentees aged 15-17. This will enable the organisation to increase their capacity and help children who live in challenging circumstances to achieve their potential academically, and raise their aspirations for going to college/higher education and improve their employment opportunities.

This will increase the organisation?s capacity, enabling them to provide an improved service for children who are experiencing a wide range of difficulties associated with domestic abuse.

This is a project by a C.I.C. in Stockport. The group will use the funding to deliver a series of play sessions for young children in the area. This will provide engaging and positive activities for children who are from low income families and have little or no access to any play facilities.

Women from BAMER communities, young women and women with learning disabilities in and leaving the prison system will be provided with specific support. One to one support will include tailored plans to help reduce the risk of reoffending such as help with housing, mental health, substance misuse, education, employment, domestic abuse, confidence/self-esteem levels. Women will be supported to identify needs, risks, and relevant support networks, and link into and access specialist local service provision.

The organisation will use the funding to provide IT, cooking and craft activities that are facilitated or supported by the local community in Stockport. This will enable the organisation to promote digital inclusion and address concerns regarding high local obesity levels and social isolation.

The group will use the funding to run activities for young people at risk of anti-social behaviour, as well provide activities for isolated older people. This will engage young people in positive activities, leading to improved community cohesion as well as reduce social isolation for older people.

The organisation will use the funding undertake a modernisation programme at the community social club to facilitate a series of activities aimed at the older generation in the community. This will enable the organisation to provide the necessary facilities to encourage all members of the community, including those with mobility issues, to maintain motivation, mobility, wellbeing and morale in an area that has lack of appropriate local amenities.

The organisation will use the funding to provide tailored activities for the young and old and a community fun day aimed at all residents. This will enable the organisation to provide activities that will address a multitude of social issues including increased levels of anti-social behaviour, behavioural problems and poor aspirations amongst youths, social isolation amongst the elderly and poor community cohesion.

The organisation will use the funding to provide training to additional volunteers and create a pack of policies, procedures and marketing materials. This will enable the group to establish a new co-operative food store in a new area, providing more people with low incomes or from areas of deprivation with access to low cost fresh and healthy produce as well as volunteering opportunities and training.

This organisation will use the funding to improve their services by developing their volunteer systems, developing their website and other marketing materials, and paying a sessional worker to engage with young care leavers. This will enable the group to provide improved and additional services for young people who have left, or who are about to leave, statutory care and to improve retention levels of volunteers.

The organisation will use the funding to construct a new activity trail and play unit to help children develop their motor skills and to improve behavioural issues within the school. This will enable the organisation to improve the noted underdeveloped motor skills within the children and provide them with structured and beneficial play time out of school hours.

The organisation will use the funding to recruit and train volunteers to enable them to provide digital inclusion sessions for older people who are isolated in their own homes; specifically those who live in high rise accommodation. This will reduce social isolation amongst older people within the community, some of whom have dementia, by providing access and training to digital equipment and community activities.

The organisation will use the funding to establish an equalities hub focusing on promoting equality and providing support, training and activities to all local residents. This will enable the group to provide a safe space for people from all backgrounds who may experience inequality, with chances to become involved in focus groups, awareness-raising campaigns and encouraging community cohesion.

The organisation will use the funding to establish an online youth radio station that will involve young people aged 13-25 years old in creating and broadcasting radio shows. This will encourage participants to develop teamworking, broadcasting, creativity, presentation and interview skills, as well as create a radio station to give young people a voice and a source of information and advice.

The funding will be used for creative and artistic activities and workshops for people with life-limiting illnesses at various stages of treatment or care, as well as those caring for them. This will encourage people to express themselves and their feelings, share their work at exhibitions to improve self-esteem and confidence, and engage with others experiencing similar issues.

This project will develop its work supporting young carers aged six to 25 in Stockport who look after a family member with an illness or disability. The project aims to help tackle some of the underlying reasons why children become carers and to develop systems in schools and colleges that will support the early identification of young carers, to help better support them and improve their lives. The project will provide intensive, practical support to young carers and their families.

The funding will be used to develop their outside area, for the benefit of pupils, their families and the wider community, including a large gazebo and seating. This will provide people with a suitable venue for activities and events, and enable the school to develop their out of school clubs.

The funding will be used to refurbish their building by decorating, installing new windows, security shutters and toilet facilities. This will provide facilities for new activities, encouraging more groups to use the building and reducing anti-social behaviour and isolation in the local community.
