This small rural community aim to introduce a defibrillator and Village Emergency Telephone System (VETS) to ensure residents and visitors to the area have the best chance of survival following a cardiac arrest.

This grant will be used to continue and develop the organisation's existing Citizen Advocacy project in Angus. This project works with older people and adults over 26 who are at risk of being unable to safeguard their rights because of mental ill health, a learning disability, dementia or an acquired brain injury. A development worker and senior development worker will work across Angus to identify isolated and vulnerable people who would benefit from the project, and volunteers to become citizen advocates.

This funding will be used to continue the church?s successful three-hours-a-day, five-days-a-week drop-in service open to anyone who needs it. It offers food and drink ? tea, coffee, biscuits, soup and lunches ? between 12pm and 3pm. Havilah operates from Community Spirit, the community outreach venture of St Andrew?s close to the church premises in Arbroath. The church will help those suffering from isolation and challenging life circumstances.

This will include a regular after school club which will provide a range of opportunities including arts, sports, cooking, SQA qualifications and a sit down family meal for those involved.
