Visual Artist and Craft Maker Awards

This school will use the funding for a range of sports equipment to facilitate the launch of new sports clubs at the school and develop the capacity of their existing clubs. The project will also provide development training to pupil sports leaders, who will be involved in delivering the project.

This group will provide a drop in hub in Edinburgh for people who have experience of, or are at risk of, homelessness. The project will benefit those people experiencing isolation and loneliness and will better prepare them for maintaining their own tenancy. It will do this through a range of activities including cooking on a budget, tenancy skills, decorating your home, budgeting, confidence building and recreational activities.

This group offers a programme of activities with opportunities for growth and personal development for children and young people in the area. The funding will be used to acquire a new Ford Transit 12 seat minibus.

To deliver three distinct strands of activities for young people in Douglas: creative arts, sports and youth bank activity. This three-year activity will involve 500 young people aged 12-18 and provide volunteering opportunities to 60 young people.

This group deliver a wide range of activities to the community from their community hub in Dundee, they also carry out activities in other towns in the local area. This project will be based in Arbroath and will deliver free performing arts tuition to young people.

This group provide a single point of focus for serving and former members of British Airborne Forces with its main operating location in Dundee. The group will use the funding to hold a celebration in July entitled ?Airborne Forces Day Scotland 2017? in Dunfermline.

This group arrange social and entertainment events for older people across the city in order to reduce isolation and increase wellbeing. The group will use the funds to run a series of events including ceilidhs and tea dances, the funding will also be used for organisational development.

This centre offers a varied programme of activities and support services for all-age groups in the Douglas community. The group will use the funding to develop an outdoor community garden which will be created through community workshops.

Maxwelltown Information Centre

The centre will use the funding to continue and develop their award winning community garden. Local residents of all ages will be involved in a variety of outdoor activities such as after school and holiday growing and wildlife clubs for children, allotments for the community, workshops, support around seasonal produce and food waste, inter-generational work and the distribution of fruit and veg to the community.It is expected that 1,500 people will be involved in the gardening activities.

This group will use the funding to continue an existing service for people with mental health difficulties. Greenbuds is an initiative that supports individuals to access the outdoors helping them to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Previous participants in the project found that time spent in the natural environment can be beneficial for reducing stress and anxiety, lifting their mood, and building confidence.

This group will use the funding to install a community garden.

The group will be able to develop the services and facilities it currently runs, for the people living in the Stobswell area of Dundee. Recently the organisation has moved into new, larger premises, and this will allow them to expand the range of activities on offer, so that everyone in the local community will have a chance to be included. The centre will be able to increase its opening hours and local people will work with the staff in identifying the services and activities they want to be included.

The organisation currently runs a thriving support group for children with ADHD and their families. This includes three youth clubs, parenting support and general awareness raising of ADHD. They will be able to employ a Project Manager to run and develop their programme of activities.

The group will run a programme of art work to isolated people with mental health difficulties in Dundee. Over 70 people aged sixteen and over will be supported into exploring their artistic nature which will motivate, inspire and contribute to their recovery.

Deaf Links

This organisation provide a wide range of activities and learning opportunities for Deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing individuals. They will use the funding to train some of their volunteers to become British Sign Language (BSL) tutors.

The project will include a range of activities for all ages such as practical conservation, green-gym activities, forest schools, informal outdoor play, environmental arts and crafts, and archaeology projects.

This organisation promote the understanding and accessibility of digital and technology through art forms. They will use the funding to hold workshops and talks to increase the awareness of digital art for people who are not in education or employment.
