This funding will be used to run a specialist playscheme for children aged 5-16 with severe and complex needs. The scheme will operate for one week at Easter and a further four weeks during the summer holiday and will serve around 40 children who are unable to attend other mainstream provision. The holiday playschemes account for around 30 per cent of the organisation's work as there is considerable preparatory work required with individual children and families in advance of each scheme's operation.
