Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire SCIO

This charity provide support, advice and information to people with additional needs across Glasgow, East Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire. The grant will support the development of a new strand for the groups ?Supported Employability? project with a versatile 8 week upcycling workshop programme which will work with up to 40 people with additional needs.

The project will be a Hallowe?en community event which will take place in Barrhead. It will feature live music, funfair rides, pumpkin carving, face painting, storytelling and a fireworks display.

This club has two teams participating in the Scottish Powerchair Football League 2017/18. The Club will use the funding to buy a specialised football powerchair and pay for facility hire for practise. Additionally the club will start a Boccia league and will use the funding to buy Boccia equipment and facility hire.

ReUseIt Furniture Re-use Project

This group will examine ways to improve their sustainability and will use the funding to engage a consultant who will provide board governance and new board member recruitment support, carry out the necessary consultation leading to the production of a feasibility plan, identify other (recycle, re-use and repair) organisations which RFEP can visit to exchange best practice procedures, and hold a community event to explain to the public the results of the consultation and feasibility study.
