This group based in Coatbridge provide a programme of activities for older women in the community. The grant will allow them to provide a greater variety and quantitiy of activities.

Shining Stars ASN Theatre School

This volunteer-led group provides workshops in drama, musical theatre and dance for children with Additional Support Needs. The funding will be used for training and a theatre trip.

The consortium will establish an advocacy service delivered for and by adults with a dual diagnose of mental health problems and substance use disorders. Volunteers with experience of dual diagnosis will be provided with the support necessary to work towards the organisation?s SQA level 7 Advocacy Practice Award qualification. Once qualified volunteers will provide advocacy support to people with a dual diagnosis who are struggling to navigate the services and support available to them.

The school will use the funding to develop their playground by installing a trim trail and purchasing play equipment.

This group provide space for local community groups such as toddler groups, a community caf? and an over 50 club. The funding will be used for building work and to install a platform lift to improve accessibility in the facility.

This organisation provides a variety of services such as adult learning, festive events, and a youth group for the Glenboig community. They will use the funding for a new minibus for their community transport service.

Iskate Inclusive Skating Time Capsule

This group develops ice skating for skaters with a disability or an impairment. They will use the funding to provide inclusive sessions for people with disabilities to learn how to skate, with a focus on including children and their families.

Waysiders Drumpellier Rugby Football Club

This project will create a community caf? within the club?s current facilities to cater for players, opponents and spectators during matches and training sessions.

This centre provides adult education in Coatbridge. This project will provide tutor led courses in online job seeking skills, online basics and stitch craft. The courses will be aimed at people who are unemployed, on low incomes and older people.

This project will support older people in Glenboig and the surrounding villages of Annathill and Greenfoot through the provision of a range of services for older people. It will offer a telephone wellbeing service, a meal delivery service, a handyman/gardener, a transport/chaperone short-term respite breaks for carers of older people, a befriending service and an annual programme of activities/outings.

This group will celebrate the heritage of Strathclyde Park by focusing on the community memory of the lost village of Bothwellhaugh and the wider story of Strathclyde park as a venue for various Commonwealth Games disciplines. As part of the project, a photographer in residence will show the life of Strathclyde Park for the duration of the Commonwealth Games. The photographs will be added to the North Lanarkshire Council?s archive to show the changes to the area.
