This group will deliver a range of group activities, clubs and individual programmes for clients with disabilities and additional support needs throughout the urban, rural and island areas of Shetland. The service is for young people and adults with physical and/or learning disabilities including Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome and Autism.

This funding will be used to support adults 18 years and over living in the Shetlands experiencing mental ill health and well-being issues. Participants will be able to access a range of support services aimed at improving their mental well and their day to day functioning, as well as developing/improving their resilience and coping mechanism. Activities will include one to one support and a planned programme of activities including walking, dog walking, baking and cookery.

SSB "Let Da Stons Spaek" : Gathering the Stories of Unst's Silent Homes

This club will use the funding for a new fairway cutter.

This funding will be used to provide a free and confidential bereavement support service to anyone living in Shetland. SBSS aims to address issues of loss, including grief, loneliness and isolation in relation to bereavement. SBSS will provide bereavement training, awareness courses, deliver programmes in schools for children experiencing challenging circumstances and provide memory boxes for families.

This group own and operate a community based sports venue. They will use the funding for Gang Mowers and new goal frames, to increase the range of facilities available at the centre.

Shetland Youth Theatre - In the Still of the Night Have we Wept

This group will provide a holistic and person centred support service for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and their families. This will operate across the 15 inhabited islands in Shetland. An individualised support plan will be created for every person accessing the service and survivors will be able to determine which activities would meet their needs. These will include both group and individual support.

The group will develop their village hall and visitor campsite. They will also be able to employ a community development worker, who will establish a number of new groups for the local community including a Men?s Shed, a fall prevention programme and a toddler and youth club. The project will involve 200 people over a five year period.

This group are based on the remote island of Yell which has a population of around a 1000 people. The project will enable the group to improve the service they currently offer through provision of an outdoor play area for toddlers.

Mind Your Head

This group based in Lerwick, serving the Shetland local authority area, will use the funding for a project will have two distinct strands. Da Grubby Hut (Shetland dialect for a workplace canteen) will deliver a series of mental health awareness-raising session, at lunch time in workplaces which have a predominantly male workforce. The second strand of the project is to research and learn from existing services to discover ways in which MYH can better support people in Shetland.
