National Creative Learning Networks

This group will continue delivering their existing family support service to families experiencing challenging circumstances, across West Lothian. This includes 1:1 volunteer support, home visits, monthly support groups, a fortnightly drop in service, self-management courses, access to foodbanks, emergency response and a crisis fund.

This project will expand and develop the level of training provided by this social enterprise to incorporate modules in basic hospitality skills, core skills and lower level SQA.

This group will work with key partners and stakeholders to create a community owned hub to address health, social and economic inequalities in the community. The new building will include a community cafe with a children?s play zone, flexible community accommodation, improved meeting and office space for local organisations, a community garden and a children?s play area.

The Larder West Lothian

This groups aim is to alleviate poverty and re-engage people with food. It does this by supporting young people to enter employment in the hospitality industry and getting more people cooking. The Larder cook school operates as a social enterprise with all profits being used to support the employability programmes for young people. The group will use the funding to commission a feasibility study to examine the possibility of becoming an SQA approved centre, and for the development of a bakery and caf?.

T Gold Handmade Footwear CIC

This funding will give the organisation the opportunity to offer a more tailored, short term or intensive personalised support package for families of children with disabilities. The group will work with families to develop a support plan with specific support options made available to them including Autism training, transition courses, advocacy support and new diagnosis support.

This three year project will deliver wide-ranging support to approximately 3000 people with caring responsibilities. It will provide advice and assistance to adults who have become a carer for the first time, who have experienced a change or an end to their caring role, or if they are caring for an adult with a long term condition.

Daisy Drop In

This group currently provide a community drop in service, the funding will be used to develop a befriending service.

West Lothian Wolves Basketball Club

This club will use the funding to engage a high level coach in a number of training sessions with each of their 14 teams.

Astro Gymnastics

This project will expand the availability of gymnastics to special needs schools in West Lothian.

This group will use the funding to establish an Easy Read translation service which will produce easily understood materials in accessible formats on demand.

This funding will be used to drain and upgrade the Froggy Park pond and the surrounding area.

This group use sports and arts to identify issues that affect African communities. The group will use the funding to allow young people from African communities to learn new skills, such as African drumming, dance and arts.
