This project will deliver a specialised disability support service to families in their homes, with a particular focus on children and parents who are experiencing a physical or learning disability. A Home-Start family support coordinator will provide a support plan involving the whole family, with a focus on daily routines, housing needs, mental health and wellbeing. This will then be handed over to a trained volunteer who can continue supporting the family emotionally and practically.

This project will deliver cooking sessions to groups of young carers, culminating in a celebration event where they will cook a three course meal for family and friends. This will enable young people to gain greater knowledge regarding how to cook healthy, tasty meals on a small budget, providing them with a valuable life skill for their future, as well as their current caring role.

This project will use the funding to install play equipment for toddlers and young children in the area. This will provide an improved play facility for young people and families in the community to access.

This project will update their IT system to roll out a new care programme in partnership with other organisations.

The organisation will add an anti-slip decked area with ramps to improve access to their newly built community tearooms. The organisation will install new windows and doors in their clubhouse, helping the facility meet the needs of the many local community groups who use it.

This will improve the environment of their Motocross bike facilities which provide young people from deprived and disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to take part in motorcross practical and theoretical activities to improve their employment, life and social skills and give them better chances in life.

The organisation will use the funding to refurbish the Victorian widows and install secondary interior glazing to the Victorian windows within their village hall building. This will improve the environment within the village hall by refurbishing the existing Victorian windows to allow ventilation in the summer months and prevent heat loss in the winter; providing a suitable environment within the village hall for the benefit of the community.

The organisation will use the funding to set up and run a sling library for parents. This will enable parents to learn how use a slings safely and improve the emotional health and bond between the parent and child.
