Hadlow Down Playing Field Cricket Roller project

This project will develop an out of school debating programme that will involve pupils from local schools, and the wider community including older people. This will engage the whole community in debating activities, provide an opportunity for participants to develop critical thinking and listening skills, reduce isolation and bring the community together.

Improvement of the quality of the bowling green

The organisation will use funding to deliver out of school hours drama therapy sessions, for pupils in need of emotional support. This will encourage beneficiaries to discuss issues pertaining to them whilst developing their communication skills, with the aim of raising academic attainment, raising self esteem and promoting wellbeing.

The organisation will use the funding to create a pathway, provide signage and run open day activities to improve access to the local nature reserve, wildlife areas and allotments. This will provide improved access to two local community areas for the benefit of all and specifically older people and families with young children within the rural community.

A Midsummer Night s Dream St Leonard s Festival

This group will use funding to extend its services to a rural village offering activities for older members of the community and people who are vulnerable, including those with dementia, people with disabilities or those in need of respite from caring. This will provide beneficiaries with the opportunity to meet new friends, have lunch and socialise, whilst participating in positive activities, including IT classes, photography, movement and singing activities, with the aim of reducing social isolation.

This playgroup will use the funding to install a range of safe and accessible outdoor play equipment that will be made available to pre-school age children attending activities during term time as well as local holiday clubs outside of school time. This will provide access to outdoor play to enhance lessons and provide physical activities during breaktimes, as well as an accessible and safe facility for younger children to use throughout the year to support their physical, emotional and social development.

Making Ground

This church will use the funding to install new facilities to make it a more accessible place to hold events. This will increase the use of the church and provide a place for groups to use, as the current lack of facilities are preventing groups from doing so.

The funding will be used to purchase IT equipment for an IT club for older people in this rural community. The school will also encourage other local organisations to make use of the equipment.
