An R&D for The Turtle Trials, a new signdance theatre project extending the reach of their unique art form Signdance Theatre to, for and with young audiences. They will work with creative partner Ucheldre Holyhead, research partner Bangor University, workshop/performance venue Neuadd Ogwen Bethesda and with the Anglesea Deaf community.

This project will replace the Hall's currently deteriorating flooring and skirting for the benefit of the local community, with the aim of providing a wider range of activities.

This group will develop their existing project, aiming to increase the capacity of its helpline for people affected by someone else?s misuse of drugs or alcohol including those who have been bereaved by addiction. The helpline provides emotional support, information and guidance. Due to an increase in number of calls, the group will increase the number of operators. They will help people at crisis point and families who are effected by the use of drugs or alcohol by another member of the family.

Our Father

This group will expand their community conservation and volunteering programme with the funding, by providing additional training to 15 volunteers. This will encourage people to be active outdoors and improve their health, wellbeing, skills and confidence and help to improve their local environment.

The funding will be used to teach children from a local special needs school basic cookery skills which the children will then share with their parents, ending in a celebration meal prepared by participants. The project aims to encourage people to gain new skills, increase their confidence and encourage family cohesion.

A large canopy will be installed outside the school?s Early Years Foundation Stage classroom, for the benefit of pupils and the wide community. This will provide a sheltered play and learning space that can be accessed in all weathers with the aim of improving interaction and communication.

This project will provide badminton and basketball sessions for disabled people and will include hall hire and the purchase of a specialist wheelchair for shared use. This will provide an opportunity for people to keep physically active, reduce isolation and improve their health and wellbeing.

This project will produce a campaign and information packs aimed at children aged 4-11 years old with Coeliac Disease. This will raise awareness of the disease amongst children and highlight the importance of following a gluten free diet to maintain their long term health.
