This funding will mean a local town hall originally constructed in the 1890s and derelict since the Second World War, can be converted into a multifunctional, accessible community space. Once the building is completed the project will help address issues including rural isolation, loneliness, employability skills, independence, intergenerational cohesion and wellbeing in old age. Services and activities proposed will include workshops in arts, crafts, languages, IT and health associated activities.
