This project will use the funding to hold a community wide event which will have a variety of stalls and stage acts. This will enable the organisation to celebrate the activities of local people and groups whilst addressing community cohesion.

Festival of Winter

This grant will be used for a project that will support those individuals and groups with complex needs facing multiple barriers to accessing the labour market. The project will focus on those people within the Gloucestershire LEP area who are out of work, furthest from the labour market and people who are most at risk of social exclusion. There will be a special focus on people with multiple and complex needs, young people and families dealing with financial exclusion.

This project will support single and detached parents and those at risk of negative behaviours. It will primarily work with fathers, but also single mothers and parents-to-be. Six-week sporting and recreation programmes will work on personal development, strengthening relationships and enabling positive life choices for parents and their children. Activities will be designed and developed by participants, with some trained as mentors to deliver a range of sport and play activities for families.

The group will use the funding to deliver a weekly extra-curricular physical activities which will take place in the dark with UV sports equipment. This will engage children in physical exercise and break down cultural and communication barriers.

Gloucester: Summer of Music Arts and Culture

The group will use the funding to organise a festival to celebrate cultural diversity through a variety of arts and social activities. This will reduce social and cultural barriers, increase awareness and improve community cohesion.

The project will provide emergency and temporary accommodation to homeless young people aged 16-25 including those with mental health issues such as self-harm, substance misuse and offending. It will provide support with basic living skills, and advice and guidance, such as welfare and housing, and support to build resilience and emotional preparedness for independent living.

The group will use the funding to install a database that will increase their capacity to supply more beneficiaries with safe second hand white goods or furniture. This will enable the organisation to reach more people that use their services.

The funding will be used to develop a social impact bond addressing the harm and long-term problems experienced by children, individuals, families and communities experiencing domestic abuse. It will be commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council and delivered in Gloucestershire, within at least two geographical communities with high prevalence of reported domestic abuse incidents. The development grant will fund project research and design, project management, legal advice and other technical support.

This is a development and expansion of a pilot project to provide nursing respite care for severely disabled, life limited and life threatened children aged under six. This project will deliver overnight residential care, giving families a complete 24 hour break. The nature of the disabilities and conditions experienced by the children require 24/7 care and attention from families with very limited available respite or ongoing regular support to develop their children.
