To stage the world premiere of 2023, a new play, set in Cardiff in the year when a 2005 law change comes into effect and children born as a result of gamete donation will be able to trace their biological parents. The play has been developed with the help of Cardiff University's Professor Jacky Boivin and draws on issues such as congenital deafness, homosexual reproduction and Welsh cultural identity within the UK and Brexit-era Europe.

Bombastic, based in Cardiff, is working in partnership with Coreo Cymru, to create a production that will introduce family audiences to Wall Flowers and a range of contemporary dance pieces that will tour to Chapter, Galeri, Hafren, Memo Arts Centre, Torch, Theatr Brycheiniog, Ffwrnes and WMC during Easter school holidays 2018. Bombastic aims to reach 3,440 audiences, with a run of 43 shows, and will also offer performance opportunities for 200 local dancers working with 20 community groups.

The project 'Gypsy Maker 3' is a development of the highly successful 'Gypsy Maker' project 2014-15 & 'Gypsy Maker2' project 2016-17. Gypsy Maker 3 will commission four Gypsy, Roma and Traveller artists to produce new work to add to the bank of knowledge about Gypsy, Roma & Traveller art and culture in Wales and beyond.

The applicants want to develop a new cloud-based information hub that they expect will transform the internal efficiency of the organisation, reinforce its cyber and data security, and open new potential for creative digital outputs and communications.

Eugenio Rene Griffiths is applying for funding to support a period of research and development to enable him to collaborate with other performers and creative professionals.. 'Three to Tango' (working title) will be a collaboration between professional musicians, actors and dancers to create a new music-theatre performance in English, Welsh and Spanish. The piece will be a dynamic performance of guitar playing, singing and tango dance. The project will take place from Oct-Dec 2017.

Tracy Pallant has applied for support to travel to Addis Ababa, EIthiopia in October 2017 to work with director Adanech Admassu on "Tila", a film about dance and disability.

A proposal for Cardiff based band, HMS Morris, to showcase at Indie Week Canada.

This is for a resilience programme project as agreed with David Alston to allow the festival to grow audiences in the future.

Following a period of research and development, Spit and Sawdust are applying for funding to support 3 additional elements to their visual arts programme, these being; 24hour Residency, a weeklong artist-in-residence/exhibition and billboard commissions. The proposed activity will take place from Nov 2017 - Oct 2018.

2018 will see the Fiftieth Anniversary of Vale of Glamorgan Festival. This application is for that celebratory festival and will take place in both Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan across most of the year, with the main festival happening in May.

good cop bad cop will collaborate for two weeks with Wendy Houstoun producing a showing of work to an invited audience of peers, arts professionals, producers and potential funders. Work shown will be the first stage in developing a new theatrical performance drawing on, and contextualising, the performance histories of John Rowley and Richard Huw Morgan with reference to the arts and wider social and political circumstances in Wales and Internationally, aiming to tour in 2019.

Altered-Ego will explore the worlds of espionage and deception. Through a series of photo-based, situational interventions the project will investigate the ways in which we all construct our identities with varying degrees of veracity, accuracy and even mendacity.

Living Pictures Productions will use the grant to deliver professional creative learning and opportunities for diverse and hard to reach young people from Carmarthenshire, which will increase their communication skills and break down social barriers with local communities.
