Crossed Paths is a production project: an exhibition, publication, public programme and documentary film. It is an interdisciplinary, artist - led field - work that will explore non - representational approaches to mountain ecology through performance, film and audio. This application seeks to support the production of a new work, 'richard III redux OR Sara Beer (IS/NOT) Richard III'. The production seeks to directly address issues of disability past and present.The production will be performed eight times at Chapter over a period of two weeks, before going out on tour to the Torch Theatre, Theatr Clwyd and Small World Theatre, as well as other venues once confirmed.The work will begin in March 2018, and carry on through until April 2018.

To support Aberystwyth University (Ceramic Archive) to develop a collaborative project exploring themes of "Crossings" journeys and metamorphosis. Project to enable the artist to attend a peer-to-peer project based workshop at the Open Studio Workshops at Mellon Charles in the Scottish Highlands from March 13 - 20th March 2017, with experienced professionals (Eddie Ephraums, Paul Wakefield and possibly Joe Cornish), with the aim of preparing the artist to be able to deliver a future presentation.

Ysgol Penllwyn Parent Teachers Association in Aberystwyth will use the grant to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Capel Bangor, particularly focusing on an intergenerational celebration event for the local school. This grant for ?1,900 will fund an arts facilitator sessional worker, refreshments, printing costs, exhibition costs, and sound equipment.

Llanddewi Brefi Village Hall and Recreation Ground in Ceredigion will use the grant to hold a village carnival to bring the community together. This grant for ?1,780 will fund two bands, childcare facilities, fireworks, an inflatable assault course and a bouncy castle.

Llanfair Clydogau Village Hall Committee in Lampeter will use the grant to modernise the hall?s kitchen and food preparation areas, to provide users with improved facilities. This grant for ?4,747 will fund kitchen refurbishment costs, electrical rewiring, plastering, and labour costs.

Llanbadarn Fawr Senior Citizens Club in Aberystwyth will use the grant to provide activities to prevent social isolation amongst their 20 members. This grant for ?2,482 will fund transport, entrance fees, refreshments, an end of year meal, afternoon tea, and resources.

'Oubliette' is Ellen Bell's response to Oriel Davies's 'Drawing Room' project area in its historical incarnation as a private, domestic withdrawing space. The project will comprise a one-day performance that will re-imagine the sampler as a form of creative writing. The title, meaning dungeon, is a reference to the punishingly-impossible tasks meted out to fairy-tale protagonists, such as spinning straw to gold, and the kind of rooms in which they performed them.

Ysgol T. Llew Jones in Ceredigion will use the grant to hold an event to celebrate a valued member of their community. This grant for ?1,870 will fund venue hire, hire of a sound system, food, entertainment, invitations and resources for exhibitions.

The applicant is looking to explore the performative power of language with music -- mapping a considered pathway to writing scored verse drama and opera libretto. Throughout the process Kaite will receive masterclasses from Gillian Clark and Owen Sheers. She will also be mentored by David Pountney and Michael McCarthy.

Noddfa in Aberaeron will use the grant to provide trips and art, history and crafts workshops for those who are, or have been, affected by mental health issues. This grant for ?3,457 will fund trips, transport, arts and crafts, marketing materials, a laptop and printer, digital camera, and a memory card.

Penbryn Memorial Hall in Ceredigion will use the grant to install a new disabled toilet and carry out building work which will provide improved facilities for user groups. This grant for ?5,000 will fund a disabled toilet, carpentry, plastering and other building works.

Prifio will combine exhibitions and performances, workshops and presentations, four residencies and two tours, to create an exciting, accessible symbiosis between modern Welsh, asque and Irish culture. Four embedded artists, each from a European smaller-language community, all native speakers committed to cultural diversity, will live and work for four weeks in a different host community.
