Project Summary :South Denbighshire Community Partnership supported by Citizen?s Advice Denbighshire will reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and increase resilience primarily for older people and those unable to access services in eight villages in Denbighshire. Services will include a community transport scheme, meals on wheels and financial/digital learning and advice. The grant over 4 years will pay staff costs, a proportion of Dial a Ride and Meals on Wheels project, a hybrid lease car, and overheads.

Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod aims to create an exciting and contemporary Festival programme based on the theme of Peace. Main activities consist of international music and dance, unique concerts, diverse outreach activities and innovative new competitions which take at Llangollen in July of each year. Llangollen also aims to develop and strengthen the Llangollen Eisteddfod brand in the coming year.

Cylch Meithrin Aberclwyd in Rhyl will use the grant to provide improved facilities for the children attending the Cylch. This grant for ?5,000 will fund staff costs, rental contribution, refreshments, toys and equipment, consumables, uniform, printing, stationery, expenses, and training costs.

North Wales Jazz, NWJ, aims to deliver a programme of high quality professional jazz concerts across North Wales - as they are the major deliverer of jazz activities for audiences across North Wales. They have a clear focus on developing new audiences for live jazz concerts and events. Project has a timeline of August 2017 - July 2018.

North Wales International Music Festival, (NWIMF) 2018, programmes high quality international standard classical music concerts, community events, and new commissions. NWIMF 2018 will be on the theme of Reflections. NWIMF highlights the work of living composers, promotes Welsh classical artists and presents the NEW Sinfonia as their resident orchestra. The main Festival events take place in September, with a launch concert planned for mid-June, and this project has a timeline from April 18 - January 19.

Ysgol Tremeirchion, in St Asaph, will enhance their forest garden to provide an extra-curricular outdoor learning space for the school pupils and the wider community. This grant for ?5,000 will fund equipment recycling sessions, wifi community hotspots, website hosting packages, training, and travelling expenses.

Llandyrnog Sports Association in Denbighshire will use the grant to upgrade the facilities at their pavilion and improve community usage of the space. This grant for ?4,500 will fund new windows and doors.

Capel Annibynwyr Waen Congregational Chapel and Outreach in St Asaph will use the grant to develop their intergenerational activities by hosting a cr?che alongside their day-care facility for older people. This grant for ?4,830 will fund sessional worker costs, first aid training costs, safety catches and gate, soft play equipment, toys and games, small tables, craft materials, and refreshments.

Prestatyn North West Community Association in Denbighshire will use the grant to update the kitchen in the Jubilee Community Centre as well as installing new lighting and blackout blinds which will provide improved facilities for user groups. NEW Dance wishes to deliver four key strands of dance related initiatives, Youth Dance, Dance in Health, Community Cohesion and Refugees and Asylum seekers, to ensure inspirational as well as qualitative work, from April 2017 to April 2018.

To support Llangollen based artist Ticky Lowe to undertake a period of R&D to explore the design and creation of wireless programmable sound modules, and their inclusion within a sensory handling collection, in collaboration with sound artist Ant Dickinson. St Asaph Flower Festival in Denbighshire will use the grant to run a flower festival to mark the 5th anniversary of St Asaph becoming a city. This grant for ?3,400 will fund floral displays and scaffolding costs.

Denbighshire Farm Women's Club will take their members on a daytrip to visit Halen M?n and Pant Du vineyard to reinforce community cohesion. The grant, of ?2,170, will fund transport costs, entrance fees and meals.

Merched y Wawr Cangen Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, in Denbighshire, will take their members on a canal boat trip in Llangollen to support community cohesion. The grant, of ?1,371, will fund transport costs, boat trip and evening meals.

To support Llangollen Fringe's 20th Anniversary Arts Festival, and community activity themed around 'Legends'. Programme includes concerts, performances, multi-cultural community engagement arts activity and a programme of high quality eclectic mix live art events including music, dance, comedy, literature presented by leading international artists. March - August 2017.

Cymdeithas Gwyl Dathlu Dydd Owain Glyndwr, in Corwen, will hold a community event on Owain Glyndwr Day to bring people together to promote the Welsh language and the town's history. The grant, of ?4,300, will fund room, stage and marquee hire, lecturer and translation fee, insurance costs, and musician and re-enactment fees.

Llanfwrog Community Association Charitable Incorporated Organisation in Denbighshire will use the grant to install new external stairs and a wheelchair platform which will improve access for all user groups. This grant for ?5,000 will fund stair concrete base, stairs, electrics and wheelchair platform stair lift.

4 The Community CIC, in Rhyl, will provide a drop-in service and group sessions for parents who are disadvantaged and socially excluded to be better informed and more knowledgeable of the range of services available to them. The grant, of ?5,000, will fund sessional worker fees, volunteer expenses, and stationery.

The funding will be used to extend an outreach services working with people from South Asian communities in areas of deprivation and poverty. The project aims to provide a network of support and resources to help people living in poverty access social activities and services, improve their resilience and help them tackle issues linked to poverty and social isolation.

West Rhyl Young Peoples Project in Denbighshire will use the grant to hold an event to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the foundation of their LGBT+ group. The event will include art work and a film created by the group?s members to celebrate the people who have been involved with the project over the last 20 years. This grant for ?1,980 will fund venue hire, publicity, refreshments, printing costs, entertainment and commemorative data sticks.

Grwp Gwledd - Rhuddlan - Fest Group, in Denbighshire, will enhance their food and craft festival in the town centre to raise awareness of local produce and businesses and provide an enjoyable event for residents. The grant, of ?1,480, will part-fund a road closure order and road signs, first aid services, location hire, sessional worker costs, publicity and promotional materials, and public liability insurance.

An ambitious, content rich multiple-programme arts activity that forges strong links between Arts and Wellbeing, Professional and Amateur artists; and that targets specific vulnerable interest groups, communities and individuals of all ages and abilities in visual arts, music, dance, performance and literature. The project comprises the freehold asset transfer of a former Grade II listed railway goods shed from Denbighshire County Council. The refurbishment will provide a cafe and commercial kitchen with heritage interpretation. It will provide four workshop units, designed to incorporate visitors being able to watch crafts people at work. A shop will provide an opportunity for artisans to promote and sell their goods. A bike hire facility will be available, with community allotments and an orchard created.

South Denbighshire Community Partnership will use the grant to bring the community together to celebrate Christmas and improve social cohesion. This grant for ?2,000 will fund sessional worker fees, donkey hire, games, polaroid camera and film, party food, decorations, bingo, arts and crafts materials, marketing, transport, and venue hire.

Artisans Collective CIC in Prestatyn will use the grant to run a series of taster session to celebrate their two year anniversary and the various other community groups that they have set up. This grant for ?1,910 will fund sessional worker fees, refreshments, arts and crafts materials, promotional materials, a children?s entertainer, clothing, and video costs.
