The 2017/18 Onsite Learning and Engagement Programme will seek to challenge barriers to engagement. The proposal for reopening year begins with a partnership and synergy between Exhibitions, Collections and Learning. Swansea Scenes - The Life and Times / People's Cultural History of SwanseaÔÇÖs High Street

A multi-art and disciplinary production commemorating the end of the First World War. It will take place in Swansea and involve huge numbers of the community.

LOCii is a national touring project that embraces five venues across Wales. It draws in additional partners through its engagement and interpretation strands. LOCii comprises of three touring solo exhibitions by three Wales based ceramic artists, pertinent engagement programmes, documentation and interpretation materials. LOCii will profile work by Justine Allison, Ingrid Murphy and Kate Haywood.

Trallwn Senior Citizens Club in Swansea will use the grant to provide a short break to Blackpool for up to 40 members at risk of social isolation. This grant for ?5,000 will part fund accommodation and transport costs.

Parc Llewelyn Community Centre Quiz Group in Location will use the grant to fund a short break to Portsmouth for 49 older members at risk of social isolation. This grant for ?5,000 will part-fund travel, accommodation, and meals.

This is a project that's part of a wider Ephemral Coast project that would see Gemma Copp exhibit a new body of work at Mission Gallery.

Choose2Reuse CIC in Llanelli will use the grant to purchase equipment allowing them to provide up to 12 vulnerable people with work experience and employable skills. This grant for ?5,000 will fund two industrial sewing machines, an overlock machine, three washing machines, an iron press, four irons and ironing boards, two tumble driers, and publicity materials.

Thursday Afternoon Crochet Class in Swansea will use the grant to provide their members, who are older ladies at risk of social isolation, with trips to various woollen fairs. This grant for ?835 will fund travel and entrance fees.

Further development of Shylok, which originally came in for Theatr Development Funding as Seiloc, a Welsh language adaption for Miles Productions. The project will take place from April 2017 and culminate in performances at Theatr Soar in September. The creative collaboration within the project consists of playwright and director Gareth Armstrong, actress Rhian Morgan, with Theatr Soar as the a main venue collaborator.
