Project Summary :Wrexham Food Bank - Banc Bwyd Wrecsam will use the grant to increase access to emergency food and related advice for people living in the local area.What Money is for :This grant for ?3,188 will fund tablecloths, toys, leaflet stands and dispensers, a scissor lift platform table, two laptops, two office chairs, a printer, and a fireproof safe.

Project Summary :Ruabon Women?s Institute in Wrexham will use the grant to take members on four trips to places of interest.What Money is for :This grant for ?1,000 will fund transport and entrance costs.

Wrexham Warehouse Project will use the grant to expand the motor vehicle training programme available to vulnerable young people. The grant for ?5,000 will provide motor vehicle tools and equipment.

Ysgol Maes Garmon in Mold will provide exercise based activities for pupils using the latest technological equipment to improve fitness levels and self-esteem. This grant for ?4,970 will fund 15 iPad minis, cases and screen protectors, a Lightspeed licence, a projector, 15 heart rate monitors, and a laptop.

To support THIS Project, to develop further a programme of grass roots arts activities, at Undegun in Wrexham town centre. THIS Project seeks to support re-generation through the arts, through fostering an environment where artists can work together to try out new creative ideas, alongside developing a new audience for the arts in Wrexham within a less formal 'meanwhile' town centre setting. From July to December 2017

Stiwt Arts Trust aims to deliver a high quality arts programme with special emphasis on Year of Drama along with a range of other community arts events, aimed at children, young people, families, and older people, attracting new and regular audiences to Theatr Stiwt, Rhos, near Wrexham, from 3 September 2017 to 31 August 2018.

Focus Wales Music Arts Interactive 2018 is a Contemporary Music Festival and Music Industry Conference, held in Wrexham. Focus will celebrate, promote, and showcase music artists from Wales in venues across the town, in May 2018.

Cunliffe Bowling Club in Wrexham will use the grant to install an automated watering system to maintain a top quality surface which will provide improved facilities for user groups. This grant for ?5,000 will part fund an automatic watering system.

The project involves the renovation / redevelopment of the Brymbo Steelworks Site, specifically the transfer of the 1920's built Machine Shop building. This will create a visitor reception area, heritage skills learning centre and small business hub.

THIS Project, a community arts organisation, based in the Undegun pop up arts space in Wrexham, aims to promote grass roots arts development in Wrexham. The organisation has grown significantly over the last few years, and THIS Project has identified the need to review their governance structure, to establish a stronger stakeholder group, to plan a transitional phase for this work and to identify new future revenue sources for both Undegun and THIS Project with support from SocialGrowth.

Ben Trow and his band, Seazoo have applied for support to take up an invite to perform a showcase gig at Canadian Music Week during April 2017.

Froncysyllte After School Kids Club in Wrexham will use the grant to improve the activities and facilities available to the 45 children who currently attend their club. This grant for ?4,900 will fund a series of workshops, resources, equipment, and storage.

Wrexham Glyndwr Students' Union Limited will use the grant to deliver suicide prevention training programmes to approximately 150 staff and students. This grant for ?4,800 will fund one full day preventing suicide course and four half-day ?mind your mate? courses.

Project Summary :Envy Morris Dancing Troupe in Wrexham will use the grant to start a new group for up to 34 younger people who would not otherwise be able to access these activities.What Money is for :This grant for ?1,240 will fund venue hire, music system, CD?s, twelve pairs of shakers, and insurance.

Ysgol Bro Alun PTA in Wrexham will use the grant to hold a Summer carnival for the local community to celebrate Welsh culture and the 4th anniversary of the opening of the school. This grant for ?2,000 will fund a gazebo, publicity materials, entertainment, a hog roast, an ice cream van, refreshments, a bouncy castle, DJ and a Play Bus.

CLPW C.I.C.in Wrexham will use the grant to celebrate Portuguese culture and promote integration between all communities in the area through an event focused on Fado which is a traditional Portuguese music. This grant for ?2,000 will fund musicians, venue hire, refreshments and marketing.

From Oriel to Arts Hub, this is the final year of Oriel Wrecsam arts transition programme, aimed at bringing arts activities to the communities of Wrexham creating an arts vibrancy in the town aimed at generating new audiences for the arts, in the lead up to the opening of the new arts hub in the Peoples Marketing in Wrexham in April 2018. This phase runs from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018.

Gresford Colliery Bowling Club in Wrexham will use the grant to purchase maintenance equipment to ensure member and community access to the green all year round. This grant for ?5,000 will part-fund a mower and various parts.

Wrexham Sen Unit (TI)

GVCC in Wrexham will use the grant to provide free hula-hooping classes for up to 30 local younger people to promote health and wellbeing. This grant for ?5,000 will fund sessional worker fees, caretaker fees, DBS check, and bottled water.

Acorns Playgroup in Wrexham will use the grant to make improvements to their outdoor facilities by providing a sheltered play area which will allow outdoor activities to take place all year round. This grant for ?2,244 will fund wall rendering, water play facilities and installation, a mud kitchen, gate relocation, a canopy, a security door and camera, waterproof all-in-one clothing, storage, and a water butt.

To support The Regional Print Centre, Wrexham Open Access programme of CPD activity targeted at Professional Artists and Designers, offering a variety of creative participatory printmaking opportunities which includes workshops, courses, and demonstrations. Programme activity includes Scholarship Programme, residencies, events and outreach activity, symposium, academic research and exhibitions. March 2017 to April 2018.

Wrexham Glyndwr Students? Union Ltd will use the grant to hold a picnic to celebrate the work of community food growing projects. This grant for ?1,996 will fund venue hire, entertainment, a gazebo, additional food, two chefs, tables, plates, cups, cutlery, workshop resources, litter pickers, bin bags, gloves, and advertising costs.

Multiple Sclerosis Society Wrexham & District Branch will use the grant to fund Pilates classes specifically tailored towards increasing the mobility of people living with MS. This grant for ?5,000 will fund venue hire, instructor fees, sessional worker fees, transport, and equipment.

To support Wrexham based artist Rona Campbell to undertake an R&D project that experimentally explores lens based image taking through water-filled glass spheres of varying diameter, in collaboration with Welsh Water and artists Paul Sampson, James Harper and curator Anders Pleass. Jan - April 2017.

The Royal Air Forces Association - Wrexham Branch will use the grant to carry out essential electrical work for their building. This grant for ?4,050 will fund a new junction box, new cables, electrical safety checks, and non-slip flooring.

Sheltered Housing Umbrella group in Wrexham will use the grant to improve the provision in their social centre so that all residents can attend events. Maes y Pant (Hollowfield) Action Group in Wrexham will use the grant to hold a barbecue to bring people together to celebrate their recent 'Green Flag' award. This grant for ?1,100 will fund a barbecue for 200-250 people.

Project Summary :Black Lane County Primary School in Wrexham will use the grant to establish a Junior Savings and Young Enterprise Club to equip pupils with good financial habits and skills to create sensible, positive attitudes to money. This grant for ?4,750 will fund facilitator costs, enterprise start-up costs, financial awareness training, piggy banks, resources, books and coach costs.

Project Summary :GVCC in Wrexham will use the grant to hold an evening celebration event which will bring the people of Garden Village together. This grant for ?1,915 will fund venue hire, band hire and marketing costs.

Project Summary :Brymbo Heritage Group in Wrexham will use the grant to bring people together for a community event to switch on the lights to illuminate the steel and iron works and an event to celebrate the contribution of volunteers in the community. This grant for ?1,750 will fund sound equipment, lighting and cabling, portable toilets, venue hire, food and refreshments, awards, promotion material and sessional staff.

Project Summary :Gresford and District War Memorial Community Centre Trust in Wrexham will use the grant to hold a St Valentine?s day party to bring people together to celebrate the difference that volunteers make in the community. This grant for ?1,210 will fund a band, a hog roast and other food, decorations, invitations and printing costs, venue hire, cutlery and plates and hire of glasses.

Project Summary :Association of Voluntary Organisations Wrexham (AVOW) will use the grant to hold an awards ceremony to celebrate young people who volunteer. This grant for ?1,880 will part-fund catering, decorations, awards, travel expenses for volunteers, translation costs and commemorative programmes.
