Workshops and activities will be funded that are facilitated and sustained by young people, allowing them to develop skills and engagement within their community.

In the Hands of Boys

This group will use the funding to create a new storage area and extend the kitchen area of their village hall. This will allow local people to make increased use of the venue for events and activities.

This group will use the funding to install a safe disabled access to its church that is located in a rurally isolated village. This will improve the environment of the facility and bring it in line with current disability legislation and encourage the local community to use the facilities.

This group will use the funding to replace their digital projector, which is no longer fit for purpose. This will help to continue and expand the social and educational activities they provide for local people.

The existing out-dated play area will be replaced, improving the play area for families in this rurally isolated village.

This funding will be used to resurface the village hall car park, providing a safe environment for the community to engage in activities.

The funding will be used to run a residential programme of outdoor activities, lifestyle coaching, personal development, inspirational talks and social activities for young people with disabilities. The project aims to remove barriers to allow people to take part in activities that will help improve their physical and mental wellbeing, as well as develop their social skills.

A programme of creative art activities will be provided for people with mental health problems, helping to improve their mental wellbeing.

MACBETH Performance and Education at Theatre Severn

Easter and summer holiday activities will be provided for young people with this funding. People will be able to take part in activities which benefit their health and wellbeing and also discourage anti-social behaviour.

Equipment & Coach Training to Benefit New Skaters

This is a project by a health body in Shrewsbury, serving people in Telford and Wrekin. They will use the funding to create an outdoor gym at the hospital, which will encourage participants, including staff and the wider community, to engage in exercise and lead to healthier lifestyles.

A porch will be built for a rural community building with this funding. The porch will facilitate access from the carpark, benefiting older, less mobile and disabled users, and also keeping warmth in the building reducing running costs.

Room for All

This group will improve its community use building with the funding. The building is located in an area which is experiencing the effects of rural isolation and will receive new equipment and resources. This will improve the environment of the facility for visitors and voluntary organisations.

The project will use the funding to encourage local people to engage with wildlife in their own gardens. This will improve beneficiaries? mental and physical health and wellbeing and reduce isolation among participants.

This project will provide a series of workshops and events to educate and encourage positive developments in sustainable living practices. This will encourage people to work together to reduce the harmful impact their community has on the environment.

This project is the provision of an IT based job club for the community. This will enable people to learn new skills and improve their long term employment prospects.

The funding will be used for a project that aims to provide pre-employment support within Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin for disadvantaged people aged 19 and above who are not in work. The project will focus on those who are furthest from the labour market, helping them to engage in activity to move them towards and into employment.

The project will use the funding to refurbish the community hall?s toilets. This will improve local facilities and enable many different community groups to continue to use the village hall.

The group will use the funding to carry out improvement to an unsafe pond area in order to create an outdoor nature resource. This will improve levels of safety and create a new resource for improving knowledge of the environment.

This project will use the funding to continue a new course of low impact exercise classes for older community members and those living with the effects of a disability. This will improve health and wellbeing of people by providing easily accessible exercise classes.

The group will use the funding to provide a telephone counselling service. This will enable people from isolated rural areas to access support for the issues impacting on their mental health and wellbeing.
