This school will create a modern outdoor fitness gym with this funding to be used by students, staff and the local community throughout the year. The gym will encourage children who do not currently engage in any extra-curricular activities to improve their health and fitness levels.

This is a continuation and expansion of an existing project that aims to recruit older people, aged over 50, to volunteer with children aged 4-11 in primary schools. The project enables volunteers to engage with their local communities and schools, reduce social isolation and loneliness, boost confidence and self-esteem and provide older role-models for children. The project will be delivered by Age UK South Staffordshire in partnership with Age UK North Staffordshire and Entrust.
