The group will work with local individuals and community groups to deliver an event to celebrate the life of the Calder Valley, where participants will display stories, photography and art to depict the area, particularly after the devastation caused by flooding. This will bring the community together and provide a contribution to the annual People?s Fair, with the aim of reducing isolation.

This project will run electronics and woodworking lessons for people experiencing the effects of mental ill health or at risk of exclusion from employment and education. This will enable participants to develop their skills and confidence, improving their chances in life.

Worn Stories - Material and Memory in Bradford 1880-2015

The organisation will use the funding to deliver life and independent living skills courses to recovering drug addicts, ex-offenders and recovering alcoholics. This will build their confidence and self-esteem and encourage independence.

This project will support isolated older people affected by long term health conditions in the Shipley area of Bradford by providing a befriending service. The service will support people who are housebound due to physical disabilities and who lack independence due to mental factors, especially dementia, severe depression, brain damage through stroke.

The organisation will use the funding to purchase equipment and materials to hold regular singing, music making workshops and choral performances for people with learning and physical disabilities. This will enable the organisation to engage with the target beneficiaries who are socially isolated and have reduced opportunities for inclusion and social engagement.

The organisation will use the funding to provide day care and drop in services for people with dementia and their carers. Reminiscence, recreational and therapeutic activities will help to improve their mental and physical wellbeing.

National Tour : Theatre for Early Childhood

The organisation will use funding to deliver healthy cooking and eating workshops, along with gentle exercise classes, for older people living in housing schemes. This will provide beneficiaries with the opportunity to leave their homes and socialise, whilst learning how to cook healthy meals and participate in physical activities, with the aim of reducing social isolation and health inequalities in the community.

The organisation will use the funding to install play equipment in the school playground. This will encourage physical activity amongst pupils to reduce obesity and improve health and wellbeing.

The organisation will use funding to deliver an advice and information service, for local people, including benefits advice and assistance in tribunal preparation for people with disabilities. This will enable local people to learn about entitlements and how the new systems work, with the aim of reducing isolation and promoting wellbeing across the community.

The organisation will use the funding to install an outdoor classroom in the school playground. This will enable pupils to play outside during inclement weather to reduce disruption and bad behaviour.

The organisation will use funding to deliver a series of arts and crafts activities, including poetry, mosaics and sculpting, culminating in an exhibition of work, for people experiencing poor mental health. This will provide beneficiaries with therapeutic activities where they can socialise and discuss issues pertaining to them, with the aim of aiding recovery and promoting wellbeing.

The organisation will use funding to deliver a series of sporting and nutrition activities for pupils and the wider school community. This will encourage beneficiaries to participate in physical exercise and make healthy diet choices, with the aim of reducing sedentary lifestyles and obesity and promoting wellbeing.

The Bradford organisation will use the funding to develop their services and pay for a sessional learning support worker to develop a pilot programme with clear learning outcomes and accreditation for people with mental health problems.
