The funding will enable the project to create a physical activity area, improved kitchen, IT suite, counselling room and informal caf? area. The aim is to broaden youth activities and increase learning opportunities.

The group will train volunteers to deliver activities for disadvantaged members of the community, including families on low income and people with mobility issues. This will provide opportunities to learn gardening and basic IT skills, whilst meeting new people, with the aim of reducing social isolation.

The group will deliver a series of holiday activities for local young people with the aim of reducing antisocial behaviour.

The group will deliver a series of workshops and celebratory events for young asylum seekers and refugees arriving to the area. This will enable young people to gain a greater understanding of the diverse cultures surrounding them in their new home, with the aim of reducing crime and isolation and promoting wellbeing.

The group will run a support service for ethnic minority people which will provide advice and information on a range of issues including money, housing, immigration, education and training.

The project focuses on better supporting and developing opportunities for parents/carers of children and young people with disabilities through play and social activities and family days out. The aim of the project is provide peer support groups, social opportunities, counselling and physiotherapy for parent carers. They will also provide private and group physiotherapy sessions for disabled children and young people.

The group will furnish the new ground floor training facility within their community building, to include desks, chairs and ICT equipment. This will enable the group to provide activities for people with disabilities, with the aim of promoting inclusion.

The group will purchase IT equipment to provide personal development training and IT workshops for disengaged and marginalised young people. This will increase their IT skills and develop their confidence and communication skills to improve employment prospects.

The group will deliver parkour sessions to increase with confidence and self-belief amongst pupils, with the aim of reducing antisocial behaviour and raising self-esteem.

The school will run physical activity sessions, with a focus on agility, balance, teamwork and coordination, alongside training volunteers to deliver the project beyond the period of funding. This will encourage participation in healthy exercise with the aim of reducing childhood obesity and health inequalities, and will ensure that the activities are sustainable.

The project aims to support people of the working age with mental health conditions who want to work but have lost hope of finding employment. Individuals will be put in control so they become experts in their own self-care, discover personal strengths and use them to develop their ambitions. The support offered will be individually tailored, with the choice to choose between different routes to employment including action planning, self-employment support, and mental health management at work.

The school will run health based activities, including smoothie making, tag rugby and Zumba. This will encourage children to participate in physical activities and adopt a healthy lifestyle, with the aim of reducing childhood obesity and associated health inequalities in later life.

KAG Gallery Programme 2017/18

The group aims to alleviate food and fuel poverty, build people?s confidence through volunteering and increase wildlife habitats. The project will develop five large unused/semi derelict green spaces in the city?s high deprivation areas into 50 community allotments, allowing locals to grow their own produce and improve access to healthy food. They will also build a larger ?therapeutic? allotment to allow people with disabilities to get involved and benefit from allotment gardening.

The school will deliver fitness sessions for pupils and families. This will tackle the growing issue of obesity and physical inactivity within the community.

This project is the delivery of sessions and fun activities for young people that will cover topics such as crime, alcohol, mental health, bullying and the dangers of social media. This will prepare children for challenges of the modern day.

This development project delivered by Child Dynamix will extend their building to create a physical activity area, improved kitchen, IT suite, larger activity and training room with servery, counselling room, informal caf? area and reception, with the view of broadening the youth activities on offer and enhancing learning opportunities. This will increase the number and range of people who use the hut, and the improved IT space will support and strengthen the effectiveness of partnership working.
